To meet the growing demand for Amazon Web Services around the globe, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. The AWS Worldwide Sales Academy is seeking a dynamic, organized, and experienced program manager to manage a portfolio of enablement programs within the WW Sales Academy.

AWS Program Managers assess and manage risks, measure and report on progress, anticipate and resolve bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs with the technical constraints. The successful candidate will rely heavily on influence over authority to drive project deliverables. You will ensure that all stakeholders are aware of outstanding issues and program metrics and connect the dots across teams. You will tailor your communications to specific audiences as well as communicate clearly and concisely to both business and sales audiences.

You must be able to:

  1. Partner with Sr. Program Managers interact with Project Sponsors, Project Stakeholders to deliver operational excellence across programs.

  2. Drive WW Sales Academy related programs to completion across multiple organizations and teams

  3. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and identify trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints

  4. Plan and manage multiple parallel projects maximize resources for the greater good of the organization

  5. Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels

  6. Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders

  7. Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities

  8. Be the glue that is able to understand, plan, and manage the cross-team inter-dependencies for complex systems

  9. Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner

  10. Build and maintain integrated project schedules that account for internal/external dependencies, numerous constraints, and adequately factor in contingency for unplanned delays while still being aggressive

  11. Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas and have AWS's success firmly in your focus

  12. Quantitative analytical abilities and proven problem solving skills

LOCATION: Preference for this position to be in one of the following locations: Seattle, WA USA- Dallas, TX USA - Boston, MA USA - Arlington, VA USA - D.C. USA.

The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Gathering business requirements for the program and drive completion mechanism to achieve executive goals
  • Drive weekly reporting of program to be reported during Weekly Business Review
  • Serve as single point of contact for all program request
  • Drive all training logistics to include: registration, class roster, global class schedule, capacity planning, and survey mechanism
  • Help with facilitation and production of live instructor lead training
  • Develop the milestones and launch schedule to ensure timely and successful delivery of the program
  • 2+ years Sales Enablement experience
  • 4+ years Program Management experience
  • 1+ year of event or producing experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Passion for adult learning
  • Experience with project delivery for large, cross functional projects/programs
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing
  • A fast-thinking, high-energy individual with a sense of humor and ability to work with a wide range of personalities
  • Quantitative analytical abilities
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Detail oriented, yet able to look at a wide array of choices and identify what truly matters
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM, CSM, etc)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and excel within a matrix organization
  • Experience managing technology programs (cloud computing, technical training, software development, and/or application infrastructure) with aggressive schedules
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
