Areas of Responsibility:
- Screening both
gynecologic and non-gynecologic prepared slides using both standard
and computer-assisted microscopy.
- Screening of
specialized cytology slides using immunofluorescence.
- Maintain correct
specimen/patient identification and ensure appropriate
- Interacts with LIS
for patient information, correct specimen identification, and

- Identifies and
reports issues with cytology staining and patient history and slide
- Produce accurate,
quality results following Bethesda guidelines.

degree in Cytotechnology or equivalent through formal 4 year
ASCP or NCA desirable, other national certifications considered
Experience: Minimum one
year full time experience as a cytotechnologist. Ability to
communicate accurately and concisely; verbally and written.
