St. Michael Medical Center is looking for an RN to join our team in our NEW HOSPITAL in Silverdale! This 500,000 Square-foot hospital will be the most energy efficient hospital in Washington and will provide an extraordinary healing environment for our patients with beautiful views of the Olympic Mountains and Dyes Inlet. In addition, the entire campus has been developed with the well-being of our team in mind with dedicated respite areas and generous break areas (see the views!) along with the Clear Creek trail running through the hospital grounds, encouraging walks and connection with the community.

Responsibilities

St. Michael's Orthopedics is a fast paced team oriented post surgical unit focusing on assisting the orthopedic patient in their recovery after surgery. Experience in mobilizing patients is helpful. Works closely as a team for the patient. Shifts vary from 8 to 12 hours. 

 

JOB SUMMARY: 

This job is responsible for providing a wide variety of professional nursing services which focus on the provision of quality patient care consistent with Franciscan Health System (FHS) standards/values, applicable regulatory requirements and scope of practice for the nursing profession. Work also includes developing, implementing and assessing the patient plan of care during time of stay in collaboration with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and the patient/family. An incumbent is engaged in direct patient care, including assessing, planning, coordinating, evaluating and delegating work to members of the patient care team, and for providing education and consultation with patients, families, physicians and other staff members in implementing appropriate nursing interventions for optimal patient care. Call is required.

 


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree is preferred.

Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required.

One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred. 

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
