Under general guidance, will perform highly complex administrative and basic technical duties associated with the calibration of equipment both in-house and outsourced.You are part of
    • The execution of the equipment calibrations program (reporting) of all manufacturing, maintenance, facility and laboratory equipment. Including:
      • Maintenance of Calibration Schedule
      • Operation and use of various calibration standards (primary and secondary)
      • Responsible for adjusting calibration variables when deemed necessary.
      • Maintenance of and accuracy of all records relative to calibrations.
      • Coordinates outsourcing of calibration services.
      • Troubleshoot and support the resolution of Quality issues such as non-conformance reports (QNs) and CAPAs for equipment out-of-tolerance. Ensure investigations are adequate, accurate, complete, and on time. Coordinates the disposition of non-conforming material.
      • Cost reduction projects
      • Improve general procedures of calibration activities.
      • Create or modify work instructions for calibration procedures.
      • Prepare documentation and reports; prepare calibration certificates, data reports, and written recommendations for department heads and upper management.
      • Participates in internal and external audits (if needed).
      • Meet departmental metrics.
      • May assist with daily management board activities including input to data.
      • Support lean initiatives and contributes to continuous improvement and complete QEKs.
      • Escalates issues to direct manager.
      • Performing other duties as required.To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following
        • Technical degree in electronic/electrical/mechanical engineering preferred.
        • 1+ years' experience in quality measuring laboratories or quality/operations
        • Basic knowledge/exposure to quality systems for medical devices, preferred.
        • Prior experience in working in a manufacturing or warehouse related environment, preferred.
        • Measurement skills - understand base units of the International System of Units; calculate and convert derived units, apply multipliers to convert values; and apply various types of measurement standards (such as primary, reference, intrinsic, etc.) depending on the situation.
        • Mathematical knowledge - proficiency in applied and technical mathematics, including probability; statistical inference; concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, is required to calculate uncertainty in measurement
        • Troubleshooting aptitude - troubleshooting skills to determine the reasons why measurements and test results are not within the expected range
        • Analytical ability - capability to analyze raw data, extract key information, and draw logical conclusions about data to analyze test results, make recommendations, and apply innovative solutions to complex problems.
        • Communication skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey information related to standards, protocols, equipment, and safety.US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
