IT Cloud Architect - Remote

The IT Cloud Architect analyzes the activities of a particular
business unit or line of business and makes recommendations
pertaining to the projects that the business unit should perform,
in addition to relevant and timely corrections to the governance
structure, business processes, and the structure of business
information. This person illustrates the alignment (or lack
thereof) between strategic goals and key business decisions
regarding products and services; partners and suppliers;
organization; capabilities; and key business and IT initiatives.
The primary focus of this person's work includes the analysis of
business motivations and business operations, through the use of
business analysis frameworks and related networks that link these
aspects of the enterprise together. The IT Cloud Architect works to
develop an integrated view of the business unit, in the context of
the enterprise, using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework,
and available industry standard techniques. Leads and mentors
staff. Defines and leads strategic direction for IT applications
and infrastructure systems.
1. Develops an IT architecture strategy for the business unit based
on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and
motivations.2. Applies a structured IT architecture approach and
methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the
context of the enterprise.3. Enumerates, analyzes, catalogs, and
suggests improvements to the strategic, core and support IT
processes of the business unit, as needed, to support strategic and
operational goals.4. Defines the data elements shared between this
business unit and other units in the enterprise and the
relationships between those data elements and people, process and
technology.5. Performs cost-benefit and return on investment
analyses for proposed systems/solutions to aid management in making
implementation decisions.6. Conducts research on software and
systems products to justify recommendations and to support
purchasing efforts.7. Interacts and negotiates with vendors and
contractors to secure system related products and services.8. Works
with external/internal customers to identify technical solutions to
business problems or inefficiencies.9. Documents development
requirements for database, applications and operation system
environment.10. Consults with external/internal customers to test
and debug applications to meet client needs.11. Serves as expertise
in all aspects of designing and application development.12.
Participates as a team member in department projects where
expertise is needed for analysis and problem solving.13. Attends
presentations and/or develops proposals, acting as the technical
expert.14. Analyzes various departmental processes to find
cost-saving opportunities and recommend to appropriate
decision-makers best approach to maximize savings.15. Acts as an
internal consultant in the IT department. Consults and provides
recommendations to staff and management on system design issues.
Identifies integrated solutions that support both organization
objectives and departmental initiatives.16. Defines system and
application architecture and provides vision, problem anticipation,
and problem-solving ability to the Information Technology
department.17. Demonstrates good business skills and works
effectively to build relationships with client departments,
management, clinicians and physicians.18. Provides proactive,
effective communication with verbal and written status reports,
manages meetings and facilitates requirements, problem solving.19.
Maintains a positive work atmosphere in behaving and communicating
in a manner that promotes favorable working relationships with
customers, clients, co-workers and management.20. Maintains an
understanding of the organization and the tools available in order
to successfully plan work detail and schedule resources to meet
target dates. Coordinates multiple activities, set priorities and
provides direction to others.21. Maintains an understanding of the
industry-wide changes and trends of technology developments and
applications.22. Provides 24 x 7 support.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed
below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability
- 7 years of experience with Microsoft based architecture and
solution implementation. - Strong, current, and hands-on technical
skills and experience including architecture, design, engineering,
capacity planning, technical troubleshooting, networking, security.
- Knowledge of Cloud Security for Active Directory and Wind tunnel.
- Experience in Cloud Services - Managing service in the cloud
space - AWS, Azure, or GPC experience in a production environment.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
(leading technical discussions and communicating with leaders). -
Must be able to collaborate and lead discussions with multiple
teams to develop solution architectures. Looking for someone who is
