Job Description:

A leading professional organization seeks a Corporate Senior Administrator. This position can be remote with preferred candidate locations in New York, NY; Piscataway, NJ; Washington, DC; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA. Travel to the New York City/Piscataway, NJ region is expected two to four times per year. The annual base compensation is $90K-$93K and is bonus eligible.

Primary Duties

The Corporate Senior Administrator will report to the Sr. Director, Corporate Governance. This role will serve as an advisor regarding administration and best practices, governance procedures, and policies. This individual has the authority to sign for budgeted funds without supervisory approval, including meeting planning and related costs, volunteer travel costs, and expenditures related to the Company's Board of Directors and Committees. This individual will identify and facilitate ways to innovate and improve the Company and work collaboratively, cooperatively, and comfortably with the highest management levels, both within and outside of the Company. Additional duties include the following:

Maintains, updates, publishes, and disseminates the Company's governing documents through various communication methods
Creates and maintains internal procedures such as archiving of committee materials, documents, addenda files, and related timelines and processes.
Manages the website and internal webpages to ensure Corporate Governance's information is timely, relevant, and accurate; this involves communicating with staff from various areas, developing improvements, implementing changes, creating and posting content, and working with IT and the Company Web Team.
Coordinates all aspects related to Board, Committee, and Working Group surveys.
Provides general administrative support to the department committees and other ad hoc committees as assigned, including the creation of agendas, minutes and archival documents, and all aspects of meeting planning and on-site support.
Assists in developing department budgets and forecasts including recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
Reconciles and approves volunteer expense reports.
Conducts governance-related research such as best practices, industry standards and benchmarking, operations and governance structure of organizations similar to the Company, and past actions of the Company's Board of Directors.
Manages other activities and projects as assigned to accomplish the organization's goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
4-7 years experience working in an association governance environment or in the corporate/board affairs environment of a corporation.
Experience in interaction with senior management or senior level volunteers.
Must have the willingness to earn CAE or other relevant credentials.
Demonstrate the ability to negotiate, persuade and problem-solve politically charged, sensitive situations with little guidance.
Familiarity with documenting project requirements, project plans and processes.
Demonstrated ability for effectively and efficiently working with and supporting committees/groups for high-impact results.
Excellent interpersonal skills and must be able to collaborate with cross functional teams.
Must be able to take the lead and work on multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-oriented environment, be able to handle sensitive, confidential information, and ensure that there is good coordination between project stakeholders.
The individual must have excellent verbal and written communication and motivational skills to enable and empower volunteer committee efforts in support of assigned projects.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously and comfortable working under tight deadlines.
Must demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism when dealing with sensitive and/or confidential matters.
Must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges. Specific technology knowledge and experience needed to produce the desired outcomes includes MS Office Suite products and familiarity with web content management systems.
Must be able to travel domestically/internationally (approx 2-4 times per year) with valid travel credentials.
