OverviewIcon Designer/IllustratorIcons and IllustrationThe Developer Division Design Studio is looking for an Icon Designer/Illustrator. We're looking for a kind, curious, and capable designer, with a learn-it-all mindset to develop icons and illustrations across myriad developer experiences and channels.You will be working with a rapidly growing studio of talented and enthusiastic designers working on software development tools and technologies who focus on defining, designing, and delivering an exceptional, customer-centered experience for developers and their teams.Responsibilities:What will you do?--- Work with partners to plan, execute, and deliver iconography and illustration across product and marketing efforts.--- Work in collaboration with a team of UI Artists, Designers, Writers, Producers, and partner teams consisting of Research, PM, and Development.--- Simplify complex ideas and UX scenarios into icon systems and intentional illustrations.Basic Qualifications:Require qualification and experience--- 3yrs+ in iconography, illustration and systems work in a variety of contexts.--- Strong portfolio of diverse iconography and illustration work showing process and execution--- Experience working with collaborative/iterative product teams--- Mastery of Figma and Adobe Illustrator.What you should have:--- Excellent interpersonal skills--- An ability to self-start in an ambiguous and rapidly changing startup-like environment, growth mindset--- Attention to detail, problem solving, creative, and communication skills--- An ability to work quickly, efficiently and to a tight deadline--- A real passion for working as part of a team and building great products that delight end users--- A drive for excellence and be Self-motivated, directed, and independentMore about the group:Developer Division builds best-in-class tools like Visual Studio and VS Code, but our team also supports exciting open-source projects and community, conducts ground-breaking research and experiments with Data and Responsible AI, and operates as a direct link to the developer community.DevDiv Design (we call ourselves D3) is a tight-knit design team of content, product, and visual designers, design technologists and design ops specialists across the globe committed to finding impactful and delightful solutions to the real problems our developer audiences face.
