natural beauty. The UW Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
(OMS) in the School of Dentistry provides clinical services that
specialize in the diagnosis, surgical treatment, and management of
diseases associated with the face and jaws such as trauma, and
infections, disorders, and cancer associated with the face and
neck. The OMS Department faculty provide clinical and didactic
instruction for the DDS program. In addition, the OMS Department
sponsors two accredited post-doctoral Residency training programs;
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) and, General Practice Residency
(GPR). The department clinic serves as a clinical training site for
learning experiences required for training certification such as
dentoalveolar extractions, implant placements, and dental
anesthesia and sedation in a clinic setting. Our clinic, Northwest
Center for Oral and Facial Surgery, is located at 6222 NE 74th St,
Building 25, within Warren G. Magnuson Park. Our core values

of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery has an outstanding opportunity
for a Program Coordinator The purpose of this position is two-fold:
to serve as the program administrator (PA) and provide operational
support for the General Practice Residency Program (GPR) under the
direct supervision of the GPR Program Director (PD), and to provide
administrative support for delegated tasks under the direct
supervision of the department Administrative Director. The GPR
program is a one-year post-doctoral clinical training program,
accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Due to
multi-faceted responsibilities of this position, successful
candidates must be prepared to be extensively involved with
residents, faculty, staff, and general public and/or agencies in
carrying out program and department activities. Although under the
general direction of the PD, the Program Coordinator is expected to
use independent judgement in advising the residents in the GPR
program, and the public about the content and objectives of the GPR
program, and coordinating the department's annual resident
graduation event, bimonthly grand rounds schedule, weekly lecture
schedule, fall alumni reception and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES: GPR Residency Training Program- Program
administrator (50%): --- Manage day-to-day operations of the
training program and support residency program director --- Assist
program director, faculty leaders, and support staff in mission
critical requirements, including program accreditation, development
of program policies, and changes in program requirements as
directed by the CODA or the SOD, or GME. --- Develops, revises, and
updates the residency application materials on an annual basis. ---
Assist with annual resident interviews and prepare for the match
day --- Oversees annual resident position allocations (Hospital
allocations) --- Develops and maintains resident rotation/call
schedules and tracks time reports. --- Manages and coordinates
weekly lecture schedule --- Ensures resident compliance with UW SOD
policies and UW Medicine GME Resident appointment and credentialing
requirements. --- Other duties as assigned by the GPR Program
Director Department Administrative functions (50%): --- Manage
bimonthly grand rounds schedule --- Coordinate annual departmental
events - residency graduation, fall AAOMS alumni reception and
Worthington lecture in November --- Process travel reimbursement
for faculty/residents --- Assist in faculty hiring and
reappointments --- Bimonthly cash audit at NWCOFS clinic and
timesheets reconciliation --- Support OS clerkship (DDS program)
and dental student OMS externship program when needed --- Other
duties as assigned by the administrative Director and the Chair
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: --- High school graduation or equivalent
and two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent
