Job Description:
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist-This 1.0 FTE(Full-time)
position is typically scheduled 12/hour night shifts, variable days
of the week and UFCW represented. At Mason Health we offer an

contribution.Job SummaryPerform all computed tomography procedures
and diagnostic radiology exams. Provide for the normal care and
safety of patients undergoing computed tomography procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities* 1. Perform complex specialized tasks
associated with the operation of CT scanners and related equipment
in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures. Position
patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment
as necessary.* 2. Assist radiologist with imaging procedures,
starting IV's, and injecting contrast, if applicable.* 3. Assist
radiologist with interventional CT procedures.* 4. Evaluate CT
scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence
of exposure and appropriately label. Film/transmit to PACS.* 5.
Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.* 6. Maintain
accurate patient records.* 7. Performs all aspects of patient care
in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the
likelihood of medical/health care errors; documents according to
established standards; communicates effectively.* 8. Develops and
maintains professional and clinical skills. Completes all annual
competency and education requirements within established parameters
and timeframes. Participates in staff meetings, patient care
meetings, educational in-services and other professional
activities. Maintains awareness of policies and procedures and
performance standards.* 9. Assist in the orientation and training
to new CT technologists.10. Additional related duties and projects
as assigned. *Essential Job FunctionOrganizational

Experience1. Completion of an accredited training program in
radiologic technology.2. High school diploma or equivalent.Required
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations1. Current active
status with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.2. Washington State
Certification in Radiologic Technology.3. AART CT registry required
within 1 year of employment as a CT technologist.4. Basic Cardiac
Life Support (BCLS) Certification.
