Job Description:
The Controls Planner manages the coordination, implementation
and control of department's project management processes ensuring
consistency with department strategy, commitments and goals. You
are also responsible for applying new plans to maximize efficiency,
and developing forms/reports to support department processes
including initial planning, scope development, contracting,
construction, and closeout; and ensure the project documentation is
processed. You will manage multiple simultaneous assignments, and
manage communication with partners to support project
implementation and portfolio success. Responsibilities: You
Will:
- Develop department forms/reports using multiple reporting tools
to support business processes
- Perform data analysis and validation of business reports
- Distribute accurate reports to Clients and Partners about FAM
managed work
- Produce Ad-Hoc queries and reports based on our needs
- Assist the Project Controls Team by drafting SOG and training
documents
- Support training of new hires and interns
- Communicate changes in business applications and reporting to
our department
- Develop new strategies and solutions that use technology to
maximize efficiency
- Develop new processes that support strategic goals.
- Guide the sustainment and update of standard operating guides
to support strategic goals
- Support the system and process subject matter experts in the
organization
- Communicate changes of policy and processes to our organization
Basic Qualifications: You Will Have:
- Data management, and data quality experience
- Basic knowledge of construction and project management
processes and purchasing/contract management
- Basic knowledge with construction finance (budgets, cash
flows)
- Experience working on multiple projects or assignments.
- Experience using Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets),
Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing discipline interfaces during project
phases
- Knowledge of project management processes
- Experience using technical analysis to achieve project goals
Required Education Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or
university and at least two years of experience in Architecture,
Engineering or Construction Management Additional Information
