Expeditors, a leader in global logistics, is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a willingness to learn a variety of human resource functions. The position includes exposure to a wide range of benefit administration tasks for the corporate Employee Relations & Benefits department, which supports over 6,400 U.S. employees. A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a team environment, have exceptional interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple on-going projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Provides support through daily administration of benefit policies and procedures, which may include the following:

+ Billing for various benefits including 401(k), Commuter, and COBRA

+ COBRA administration

+ Benefit enrollment verification letters

+ Life insurance claim submissions

+ Benefit audits

+ Benefit system enrollment and eligibility updates

+ Benefit-related issue resolution

+ Maintains positive vendor relationships

+ Assists in managing accommodation requests in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other applicable state/local disability laws, which may include the following:

+ Communicate with employees and managers when ADA accommodation is requested to ensure understanding of the process and requirements

+ Ensures smooth end-to-end administration of ADA accommodations, including supplying ADA compliance notices, and gathering required paperwork

+ Maintain knowledge of all applicable accommodation laws

+ Provides support to managers and employees with well-reasoned, friendly and timely responses to requests and questions

+ Maintains electronic filing system in accordance with legal requirements, company policies and procedures

+ Facilitates compliance through detailed attention to established policies and procedures

+ Works closely with Employee Relations & Benefits team on a variety of tasks

+ Meets Expeditors' annual training requirements

+ Adheres to Expeditors' 10 cultural attributes: Appearance, Attitude, Confidence, Curiosity, Excellence, Integrity, Pride, Resolute, Sense of Humor, and Visionary

+ Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

To be immediately considered for this opportunity, the following are needed:

+ Bachelor's degree

+ Preferred 1- 2 years' experience in a human resources role

+ Demonstrated interest in human resources and employment law compliance

+ Ability to build strong relationships with employees and management to ensure effective support on human resource issues

+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment

+ Strong attention to detail and a critical eye

+ Organizational skills that result in consistent volume and quality of output

+ Diligent and firm ethics

+ Enthusiastic, positive, and ambitious attitude

+ Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills

PAY AND BENEFITS:

Non-Exempt Annual Salary: $56,000 - $60,000 (DOE)
