Description:Our client located in Seattle, WA is looking to add a PCB Designer to their team. This individual will need to be proficiency in design tools (i.e layout). They will be tasked with analyzing problems with the problem and recommend changes where necessary. Testing will be required for the problem and the individual must be able to troubleshoot with laboratory equipment. Must be an effective communicator and not afraid to share ideas and give feedback. Hard work and heavy communication is ideal in this environment. Following duties include but not limited to:

  • Analyze and design work of the client's products
  • Prepare documents for assembly, schematics, and fabrications using CAD software (Altium)
  • Design layouts to develop high-speed and reliable circuits
  • Collaborate with other Engineering teams to resolve issues and troubleshoot
  • Troubleshoot laboratory work
  • Investigate current products for potential issues or updates Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 10 years of relevant work experience
    • Strong analog digital and high-speed circuit design
    • Experience in communicating with end users business teams and management to collect requirements describe product features and refine technical designs
    • Experience in mixed signal and complex board design and development process
    • Expert with industry standard PCB design tools Altium preferred and simulation tools
    • Excellent understanding of hardware system development including thermal power and SI/PI
    • Proficiency in firmware development/programming languages
    • Experience as a technical lead designing hardware systems/products that have been deployed to customers at scale
    • Experience with board bring up and validation
    • Experience with system level testing provisioning and software update flashing/programming delivery using Linux tools Preferred qualifications:
      • Master of Science or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field
      • Excellent written and verbal communication ability to explain complex concepts and designs to colleagues across disciplines
      • Experience designing avionics systems that have been successfully deployed at scale
      • Experience architecting systems in a DO-254 certification environment
      • Experience working/partnering with mechanical engineers to design aerospace/avionics enclosures
      • Experience working with SW DFT DFM and NPI engineering teams to develop and deploy machine learning and/or computer vision hardware
      • Experience with EVT/DVT/PVT and avionics qualification
      • Excellent end-to-end system debug skills ability to operate a broad range of electronic test equipment
      • Experience with PCBA troubleshooting modification and rework
