will consider applicants who would be able to work out of our

Summary:Under the direction of the Contracts and Risk Manager and
working alongside members of the CRL team, the Project Contracts
Specialist has responsibilities related to drafting and negotiating
project vendor contracts, vendor relations, forms
management/design, process development, and oversight of vendor
compliance. Additionally, the Project Contracts Specialist will
provide support to CRL team members to assist in carrying out the
department's initiatives.This position will be based out of our
home office in Washougal, Washington; a beautiful place to

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related The degree may be
substituted with a minimum of 10+ years of practical experience in
the construction industry.Experience:At least 5 years of experience
working with vendors and/or subcontractors from multiple
disciplines within the construction industry isVendor management
and/or compliance experience within the construction industry
isSkills:Ability to work with and effectively communicate, orally
and in writing, to all levels within theAbility to multi-task and
work in a fast-paced team environment with a commitment to reach
goals and meet deadlines.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and
well-organized.Demonstrates proficiency in MS Office and relevant
softwareHigh-level computer skills with the ability to quickly
learn newResponsibilities:Work with the Sr. Contracts Manager in
all aspects of vendor contracting process, from negotiation through
contractProvide support to Estimating and Operations on drafting
contract language to translate business needs into specific vendor
requirements (i.E., Request for Proposal, Scope of Work,
Subcontractor Requirements, Inclusions, and Exclusions, ). This
includes driving the team to reach agreeable terms and complete
contracting by the required dates.Monitor and maintain vendor
information and documentation, including vendor compliance with
insurance requirements in myCOI or similarPrepare welcome letters
to contracted vendors to ensure proper onboarding and projectAssist
with tracking project vendor reporting requirements, including
daily reports, certified payroll, and other owner-required
subcontractorWork with vendors as well as Operations and Accounting
teams on all matters related to vendor contractWork with
third-party vendors to ensure timely renewal and maintenance of
required state and local licensing.Support the department in
identifying inefficiencies and making recommendations for
streamliningAssist General Counsel with discovery and other
document collection on claims andEffectively maintain positive and
ethical working relationships with vendors and internalSupport the
development of department policies andSupport the development of
department training materials andParticipate in cross-training and
act as a backup in related areas whenContribute to the development
and implementation of the CRL Department Strategic Plan.Actively
support and promote the Ballard Culture of Risk Management through
the ongoing development of efficient processes to facilitate access
to qualified vendors.Other duties as required.Supervisory
Responsibilities:NonePhysical Demands / Working Environment:Ability
to lift twenty-five (25) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely
around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be
handled.Ability to work at a computer for multiple hours.Salary
