Job Description:
Overview:The Corporate Sr. Travel Specialist will provide the
highest level of customer service, consultation and administrative
support to travelers of assigned clients. This role will also serve
to provide VIP assistance to C-Level travelers and Travel Arrangers
for designated VIP travelers. The successful applicant will possess
the ability to handle multiple complex projects and work efforts at
a given time. This position drives positive results for clients by
providing creative travel options, an in depth understanding of the
travel industry, excellent communication skills, the ability to
quickly identify and resolve issues, and provide administrative
support related to the travel reservations process. The Sr. Travel
Specialist is accountable for ensuring a seamless travel experience
throughout the reservation life-cycle. The salary range on this job
posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide
range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and
geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience,
geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining
the starting rate of pay.This role may be eligible for an
incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program
based on the companys financial goal achievement and individual
performance.Responsibilities:The Corporate Sr. Travel Specialist
supports the following travel service related tasks. The tasks
include creating compelling travel itineraries for all clients,
including C-Level executives, utilizing the Global Distribution
System or other appropriate sources, providing customer service
support during the entire reservations life-cycle (pre-trip, during
trip, post-trip), Additional services required for C-level
executives are outlined below.
- Travel Reservation Services
- Air reservation service
- Provide creative air travel options to travelers via GDS flight
options.
- Ensure that flights are booked according to traveler
preference
- Process upgrades on behalf of traveler (VIP Only)
- Purchase seats on behalf of traveler when required.
- Complete flight reconfirmation and monitoring
- Flight monitoring is completed at 4, 2, and 1hour time
intervals (VIP only)
- Advising After Hours, when appropriate, of VIP itineraries that
require monitoring after office hours
- Maintain visa/passport information within traveler profile
(review for expiration and provide consultation to traveler on
obtaining required documents VIP Only)
- Car reservation service
- Book car or car service/limo per traveler preference (including
off airport locations, car dealerships and/or service at private
airports)
- Process any special requests or upgrades (VIP only)
- Reconfirm all car/car service bookings 24 hours in advance (VIP
Only)
- Hotel reservation service
- Book hotel reservations per traveler preference
- Request upgrades via GDS or directly with hotel, as needed (VIP
Only)
- Reconfirm all hotel reservations 24 hours prior to arrival (VIP
Only)
- Confirm meeting room reservations as requested (VIP Only)
- Administrative/non-routine services VIP only
- Obtain vendor receipts on behalf of traveler as required
- Review and update monthly unused ticket report
- Obtain airline status matches as required
- Assist with renewals of any expiring airline frequent flyer or
airline club memberships
- Maintain Car frequent guest information, ensure profiles are
kept up to date
- Maintain and review passport expiration dates, provide detail
to travelers/admins as required
- Support Traveler profile updates via the online booking tool
administrative function (if OBT utilized), or via GDS
- Facilitate booking leisure travel (other than air/car/hotel)
with Travel Leaders preferred leisure vendor
- Assist with non-routine travel requests, such as helicopter
transport, non-GDS airline/car/hotel/rail vendors, theatre or event
tickets, etc.
- Deliver extraordinary customer service to all travelers and
travel arrangers
- Greet all clients with enthusiasm.
- Ensure that all communication is clear, concise and
accurate
- Provide consultative service to travelers and travel arrangers
throughout the booking process.
- Complete all reservations in an accurate and timely
manner.
- Identify potential issues and work to mitigate traveler
impacts
- Quickly identify solutions for travelers if issues arise
- Demonstrate flexibility
- Maintain goal expectations in the following areas:
- Productivity measured by transactions per day.
- Quality minimal customer service issues.
- Customer experience measured through accuracy performance and
client survey. Qualifications:Skills/Experience Required:
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
- 5+ years travel selling experience
- 5+ years customer service experience, preferably in the travel
industry
- Exceptional/above & beyond, proactive customer service
approach
- Ability to handle multiple complex requests simultaneously and
seamlessly
- Comfort and experience working with C-level travelers
- Ability to retain and proactively obtain travel
preferences
- Perform unique requests with the utmost professionalism
- Excellent travel industry knowledge
- Mastery in SABRE GDS.
- Specifically: GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements,
pricing
- Corporate travel experience required
- Expert in international travel bookings and process
- Experienced handling of multiple accounts, Exceptional
communication skills both written and oral
