opportunity for a highly motivated *Systems Safety** Engineering
Fellow* to join our dynamic Whole Life Engineering team!As a
*System Safety Engineering Fellow*, you'll work independently or
through leadership of teams to solve the most difficult system

Anticipate:*As a *System Safety Engineering Fellow*, your
responsibilities will include:* Serving as a strategic leader and
thinker, you will define and implement a safety strategy for a
program or product line, while considering the technical and
programmatic aspects. You will then drive the execution of that
strategy across multiple programs or product lines.* Acting as an
exceptional advocate for technical integrity across multiple
programs and product lines.* Serving as a Subject Matter Expert to
the WLE organization in determining and developing required
technologies to achieve organization growth objectives in the one
or more areas in the one or more areas of hardware safety, software
safety, and firmware safety.* Working as a Technical Lead in a team
environment on diverse projects, providing independently determined
solutions for missile system design, flight test support, trade
studies and analysis or radar system design, test support, trade
studies and analysis.* Mentoring and training new System Safety
Engineers in all aspects of system safety and software safety.*
Briefing program safety at technical and our government
reviews.---This is a HYBRID role, with work both onsite and remote.
Commuting costs to and from the Tucson facility are the
responsibility of the incumbent.*Qualifications You Must
Have:**Typically Requires: *Bachelor's degree and 12 years of
relevant experience. OR an advanced degree in a related field and
minimum 9 years' experience For this role, we prefer a Bachelor's
Degree in Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical
Engineering, Material Science, Mathematics or other related
disciplines.*Employment Experience:** Experience in systems safety,
software safety and/or firmware safety.* Experience in Supplier
Development and Assessments - Supplier qualification, selection,
quality systems, audits, strategic sourcing, and / or roadmap
alignment* Experience leading technical teams* The ability to
obtain and maintain a US security clearance. US citizenship is
required as only US citizens are eligible for a security
clearance.*Qualifications We Value:** Experience in
command-and-control systems and/or weapon combat systems*
Experience with DoD System Safety Programs* Strong written, verbal
and presentation skills* Strong interpersonal and project
management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and
provide direction to supporting safety personnel* Experience with
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development*
Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
(STEM)* Experience in leadership and or senior engineering
