described in this job description has been designed to indicate the

to this job. Responsible for the accurate receiving, researching
and processing of credit balances. Works effectively and
cooperatively within the workplace. Location/Department specific
tasks and competencies may apply. Salary Range: $19.08/hr to
$27.68/hr DOE Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit
package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement),
long term disability, sick time, and paid time off to all employees
working 20 or more hours per week. Essential Functions Communicate
account issues to appropriate staff in a timely manner. Coordinate
with third party payers as needed for credit balance resolution.
Investigate unapplied cash transactions per established procedure.
Maintain state CHARS data; transmit data to state monthly. Review
and research credit balances in an accurate and timely manner.
Compile and maintain assigned reports in an accurate and timely
manner. Work all correspondences from patient, third party payers.
Work credit balances from a credit balance report. Maintain ability
to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department
specific software applications to perform work. Communicate
effectively and cooperatively in the workplace. Actively contribute
to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process
Improvement activities. Complete all mandatory learning
requirements in a timely manner. Maintain current licensure and/or
certification as required. Attend and actively participate in all
department, team and/or committee meetings. Comply with all Skagit
Regional Health, department and location specific policies and
procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or
designee. Education High School diploma or GED required.
Experience/Training Previous experience in accounting or patient
accounting strongly desired. License/Certification None required.
Other Qualifications Effective verbal, written and interpersonal
communication skills required. Must be able to effectively utilize
Microsoft Office applications to perform work. Well developed
problem solving and analytical skills required. Must be able to
effectively prioritize workload amongst frequent interruptions with
competing priorities. Knowledge of general accounting principles
required. Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of
position (may include overtime and weekend work).
