The Opportunity
Climate is looking for a Data Science intern to join our team. We
are seeking a highly motivated graduate-level student with a strong
background in solving analytical problems using quantitative
approaches. As part of our team, you will help develop methodology
to build predictive agronomic models incorporating key data layers
such as soil, vegetation, water resources, weather, environmental
characteristics, and crop yield by leveraging the latest in data
science, geospatial analytics, and remote sensing tools. If you are

What You'll Do
Develop/validate/refine predictive models by corroborating with
ground truth data
Mine massive datasets of spatial science, remote sensing, or other
data types and perform large-scale data analysis to extract useful
agriculture business insights
Identify actionable insights, suggest recommendations and influence
the direction of the business by effectively communicating results
to cross functional groups
Identify and build measurable actionable trends within our product
pipeline in agriculture
Collaborate with other data scientists to develop models, test
techniques, and resolve issues
About You
What You'll Need
Pursuing a MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics,
Computer Science, Data Science, Biostatistics, Epidemiology,
Quantitative Genetics, or related technical field from an academic
institution
Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative
approaches (or equivalent)
Experience with SQL and at least one programming languages (Python,
R, Java)
Nice to Haves
Experience with statistical analysis, experience with packages such
as R, MATLAB, etc.
A drive to understand and derive meaningful insights from data and
results
Strong written and oral communication skills

Pay Transparency: The base pay range for this position is: $30 -
$50/hour based on location and degree level.
