leadership in the use of immune effector cell-based therapies in
hematological and solid cancers. - More specifically, we are
focused on developing engineered cell-based therapies, as well as
biotherapeutics, both aimed at harnessing the power of immune cells
to mediate anti-tumor activity. The team integrates discovery
research seamlessly with preclinical sciences, translational
research and early clinical development in collaboration with
colleagues across the Research and Development organization. Our
thematic focus allows the group to capitalize on the cutting edge
science that underpins the action of many of the company's most
innovative therapeutics, without being constrained by drug modality
or disease indication.The Cell Therapy Preclinical Biology team is
seeking a highly motivated and passionate Scientist to help us
deliver on this critical goal. The ideal candidate is an
experienced research scientist with a strong background in T cell
engineering with expertise engineering and optimizing next
generation cell therapy candidates. The preferred candidate will
have experience developing and implementing -in vitro -functional
assays to measure T cell and CAR-T function, including
proliferation, cytokine production, phenotypic analysis and
cytotoxic activity. -This position is ideal for the innovative
scientist who can lead with their data to influence program
strategy and direction.Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:
- Design, execution, analysis, and communication of results from
engineered T cell functional studies
- Deliver data packages to lead and influence portfolio project
strategic decisions -
- Independently manage workload and execute bench research
activities with minimal supervision, time management to contribute
to multiple projects in parallel - -
- Manage project timelines and deliverables, delivery of
time-sensitive decisional data packages, support engagement with
departmental and cross-functional stakeholders -
- Maintain expertise and knowledge of developments in cell
therapy field and apply knowledge to overcome technical barriers
-
- Technical resource for junior staff members -
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation of results in
electronic notebook -Basic Qualifications: -
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of academic and / or industry experience -Or
- Master's Degree -
- 3+ years of academic and / or industry experience -Or
- Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the Life Sciences
- No experience necessarySkillset:
- Ability to independently plan and execute CAR-T production,
assay development, and characterization studies -
- Expertise in primary T cell engineering, including CAR-T
molecular design, viral or nonviral engineering strategies, and
CRISPR editing
- Ability to work productively as a team member and individual
contributor -
- Experience with -in vitro -technologies typically employed to
assess T cell functionality including but not limited to MSD,
IncuCyte-based assays, multi-parameter flow cytometry for
phenotypic characterization of T cells, T cell activation assays, T
cell proliferation analysis
- Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional
teams as well cross-departmental colleagues
- Strong organizational skillset to ensure thorough and timely
planning, execution, communication and documentation of
experiments#LI-OnsiteThe starting compensation for this job -is a
range from $92,000 - $115,000, plus incentive cash and stock
opportunities (based on eligibility).The starting pay rate takes
into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills
and the where the job is performed.Final individual compensation
