**Senior Scientist, RNA Vaccines****Kelly Science and Clinical**

biologics and cellular therapies.**Overview**We are seeking a
Senior Scientist, RNA Vaccines for one of our clients, a nonprofit
biotechnology organization in Seattle focused on developing new
solutions for infectious disease. The incumbent will be responsible
for broadening the applications of their RNA vaccine platform to a
wide range of infectious disease and oncology targets. The position
will lead a growing, multi-level, early development team to create
novel vaccine constructs, design and interpret pre-clinical studies
of vaccine candidates, and work with a broad group of scientists
and staff to bring RNA vaccine candidates to the initiation of
Phase 1 clinical studies. This position will also work closely with
the science leads and project managers to evaluate, prioritize,
track, manage and communicate internally and externally on critical
new strategic vaccine efforts.**Responsibilities**+ Help plan and
execute RNA vaccine-related research and development projects.+
Lead a vaccine research group in the timely completion of vaccine
research and development studies from preclinical to early clinical
stages.+ Work closely with regulatory teams to ensure effective
IND-enabling data collection, IND preparation, and submission.+
Participate in strategic planning and business development.+ Record
and present data in-house, externally, and for publication.+
Supervise, direct, and support highly collaborative scientific
teams.+ Prepare and review patent documentation.+ Support QC and
GMP tech transfer.+ Maintain animal protocols and documentation;
obtain and maintain restricted drug access to support animal
studies.+ Write scientific reports for partners and for
publication.+ Assist in and/or lead preparation and submission of
grants for independent and/or institutional
funding.**Qualifications**+ PhD in microbiology, virology,
immunology, molecular biology, biological engineering, or related
discipline.+ At least 5 years' experience working in the
development of vaccines for infectious diseases with increasing
levels of scientific independence.+ Experience managing large or
complex scientific projects.+ Understands the design, development,
and execution of pre-clinical and clinical research programs and
studies.+ Advanced knowledge of MS Office [Word, Excel, Microsoft
Project, PowerPoint], Adobe Acrobat, and statistical software.+
Preferred experience working in the industry to advance vaccine
candidates.+ Ability to successfully communicate and collaborate
with internal and external partners.+ Highly developed
organizational skills and advanced attention to detail.+ Excellent
oral and written communication skills. Foreign language skills a
plus.+ Professionally handle and maintain confidentiality of
sensitive information.+ Exceptional critical thinking, risk
management and mitigation, and problem-solving skills.**Salary:
