This recruitment offers a $10,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW MedicineUW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a part time (80% FTE, 32 hours per week), day shift LACTATION CONSULANT (job profile: Registered Nurse 2) to join our team. This position will support our outpatient Pediatrics Clinic, located in the U-District of Seattle. This position will work specifically with lactating pregnant and lactating postpartum families, helping them make informed decisions on breastfeeding and pumping.SCHEDULE:32 hours per week, day shift only. Some Saturday work may be required when needed.BENEFITS PLANFor detailed information on the benefits for this position, click here.RESPONSIBILITIES:As a RN Lactation Consultant, you will:Teach and model evidence-based lactation practicesSupport a caseload of patients across the perinatal and breastfeeding continuumProvide patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and evaluation servicesDocument care outcomes in Epic/MyChartAs needed, contribute to the development of system-wide lactation standards, protocols, and proceduresMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:2 years of current or recent nursing experience with breastfeeding familiesAn active Registered Nurse license in the State of WashingtonAn active International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) CertificationABOUT OUR MEDICAL CENTER:Join our award-winning team at UW Medical Center - Montlake.
