Job Description:
Overview:
Gain experience and exposure to the full scope of Human Resources
responsibilities at Sealaska this summer. As the Human Resources
Intern, you will participate and contribute to the day-to-day
workflow of the HR team and learn workplace dynamics. Projects will
span all functions of HR - including recruiting,
onboarding/offboarding, performance management, benefits, employee
relations, compliance, administration, ethics, and
compensation.This internship can be based in a remote or
telecommuting location, where you will primarily collaborate with
human resources team members located in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
Understand Human Resources and its various sub-departmentsResearch
compliance best practicesAssist with organization of carious
employee filesAssist with various administrative dutiesOther
duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience with ExcelOrganization and research skillsAbility to
work independently and as a teamSealaska shareholder, descendant of
a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholderAt least 18 years of age
by start dateMust be currently enrolled in college or a
vocational-technical school or a recent graduate (1-2 years)
Legally authorized to work in the United StatesPreferred
Qualifications:Human Resources classesAt least a 2.5 GPAStrong
critical thinking and research skillsStrong written and verbal
communication skillsAble to both collaborate with a team and work
independentlySelf-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced
work environmentAbility to travel, as neededApplication
