Bartell Drugs, your neighborhood drug store since 1890, is looking
for a high energy, dependable Inventory Control System Specialist
to administer our WMS system (Manhattan) for our Distribution
Center in Des Moines, WA. The schedule and hours for this position
are generally Monday - Friday from 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM (flexible
on start time). Starting pay in this role is $21.00 - $25.00+ per
hour depending on skills and experience.
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is the assistance and the
administration for all issues related to the Warehouse Management
System (Manhattan) functions, and the equipment required in its
operation. This includes the training, diagnostic trouble shooting
and repair of issues in both the User Interface and RF equipment
required to keep Distribution Center functioning. Also where
applicable, assisting Operations management in WMS (Manhattan) case
management working directly with the Manhattan CSO team, Operations
Manager and the Systems Manager to report, document and track
issues escalated to Manhattan CSO. The incumbent is also required
to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate
policies and state and federal laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition
to other duties as assigned:
* Maintain and submit access report to Corporate Information
Security.
* Partner with leadership and managers to assess work area needs,
and trouble shoot issues related to functions in the WMS or
devices, making recommendations to the Operations Management team
on possible corrective actions required.
* Provide guidance to departments and associates on procedural
steps involved in the WMS functions or its devices.
* Assist departments in the maintenance of all devices used in the
WMS system, working with both the Systems manager, Corporate IT,
Operations Manager and Manhattan CSO.
* Respond to and investigate Manhattan CSO, or Corporate IT
requests for information in reference to case issues in the WMS or
Devices to ensure proper resolution and follow-up.
* Conduct scheduled and unscheduled equipment updates.
* Ensure accurate Manhattan case management in conjunction with
department management for all active, pending or new case
submission.
* Assist SYIC department in creating solutions for adapting reports
generated by the WMS system into the required formats for corporate
compliance.
* Create and maintain SOP documentation for the use of the
Manhattan WMS in Rite Aid Distribution Centers.
EXPERIENCE, SKILL and ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
* Accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of
tasks/projects.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/VBA
* Project management experience preferred
* Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written
and verbal communication
* Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal
and external customers feel welcome, important, and
appreciated.
* Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
* Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Access).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Access preferred
* Minimum age of 18 years old due to the work environment
* Ability to pass a drug test.
PREFERRED ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED:
* Experience with testing software or QA
* Experience with Manhattan (WMS) or other WMS systems
* Some SQL knowledge
* IBM Cognos experience is a bonus
* Ability to drive equipment, as required in completion of tasks or
assistance in other department
* Experience working in an IT/IS tech support or help desk role
