-Currently, we are seeking an -Landscape Architectural Designer
I/II -who can help contribute to the overall excellence of work
coming from Olson Kundig.The Landscape Architectural Designer
performs a variety of assignments requiring competency in the
conventional aspects of landscape architectural design for project
of moderate size and complexity. Some level of independence is
expected on portions of the work, but coordination and guidance
from a more senior architectural team member may be needed.Primary
Responsibilities
Works collaboratively within an
interdisciplinary design team.Performs analyses of design and
planning of exterior spaces and physical environments.Assist in the
production of design concepts in support of concept design
including plans, grading, sections, elevations and 3D models.Helps
prepare project specifications.With design direction for senior
team members, may prepare design studies, research, site/zoning
analysis, and documentation support as required on
projects.Coordinates with project consultants with technical
advisement from senior team members.Prepares construction documents
with direction from senior team members.Supports the construction
administration process.Contributes ideas, solutions, and
deliverables in team and project environments.Performs other duties
as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Able to work at a variety of project
scales from master planning to detail design.Able to produce
visually compelling presentations and renderings, and able to
direct this type of work for more junior team members.Able to
express design ideas through hand-drawing.Able to put together
technical details that convey a general understanding of landscape
components.High attention to detail and takes responsibility for
delivering accurate, high-quality work.Working knowledge of plants
across a broad range of ecologies.Strong sense of urgency and
effectively prioritizes multiple activities with little guidance in
a fast-paced, creative and dynamic work environment.Communicates
effectively verbally and in writing, demonstrating the ability to
communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external
"clients" and vendors.Growth mindset and an aptitude for presenting
opportunities for process improvement and technology solutions,
including learning new software and systems.Effective
problem-solving skills, including the ability to present solutions
and recommendations for non-standard situations.Qualifications
Professional degree in Landscape
Architecture.3-6 years of related professional
experience.Proficient modeling and documentation skills using
AutoCAD.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Desired Additional
Experience
Experience with
Sketchup/Rhino/Enscape or other 3D modeling and rendering
software.Experience with modeling and documentations skills using
Revit.Experience with tools such as:
- Civil 3D
- ArcGIS
- Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and
InDesign.
- Bluebeam Revu/Bluebeam Studio.Experience with sustainability
focused project assessments such as SITES, Living Building
Challenge, LEED, and high-performance building.A portfolio of work
demonstrating design, technical, and drafting
abilities.Communicates effectively with hand drawing.Licensure is

position in Seattle is between $68,000 and $84,000 annually. -
Final salary decisions are made based upon the extent and
relatedness of the candidate's education and experience and
