financial assistance program.ABOUT THE JOBSummer Camp Counselors,
or Team Leaders as we call them at Galileo, are the single most
consistent presence in the experience of each Camp Galileo camper,
and have the greatest potential impact on each camper's summer.
They stay with the same set of campers throughout the week and
create physical and emotional safety of each and every camper
within a team. This role is seasonal Full Time, working Monday -
Friday.YOU WILLLead your team of up to 20 campers each week and
assist Instructors as campers rotate to art, science and outdoor
sessionsAssist with daily set-up and cleanup of camp and assist
Instructors with lesson preparationProvide excellent customer
service to families and guardians dailyMaintain a safe environment
and provide leadership and camp spirit to all campersContribute to
and participate in daily camp activities, including camper check-in
and check out, opening/closing ceremonies, snack & lunch & extended
care supervision and programmingTeam Leaders will report to the
Camp Director and receive professional development and ongoing
coachingYOU HAVEUpper high school or college studentDemonstrated
leadership experienceExperience in after-school programs or leading
programs for kids of a wide range of grade levels a plusGenuine
love for and interest in working with children and/or
educationAbility to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level
of energy, and exceptional enthusiasm each dayFlexibility to meet
changing needs and demands while balancing multiple tasks
efficientlyDesire to work collaboratively on a team, with an
openness to feedback and a desire to grow professionallyStrong
organization skills and attention to detailGreat communication
skills, both written and verbalMust be at least 18 years of age by
May 26, 2023Valid CPR/First Aid certification OR ability to become
certified prior to the start of camp Valid Mandatory Report
Certification OR ability to complete certification prior to the

positions starts at $18.50 per hour and ranges up to $15.50 per
hour for returning staff; your exact pay rate will be determined
based on a variety of factors including work location and years of
employment with Galileo Camps. Summer staff positions are hourly,
non-exempt roles.Paid Training prior to the start of camp.A free
week of camp for your own child! Plus, 50% off additional summer
camp sessions for your child - That's an average of $250 savings

may be available at select sites*WORK HOURSOur camps operate
between 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Camp set up is
typically Friday - Sunday, and requires one weekend of
availability. Number of hours and start/finish time of each shift
