NEW! Auditions for Youth Actors and Adult in Eco-Fable PlayMaple
Valley Arts Council Maple Valley Creative Arts Council presents
LIVVY AND THE FOREST CREATURES, an original eco-fable in one-act
for young audiences by Margaret O'Donnell and directed by Miriam BC
Tobin. Here's a synopsis: A housing corporation is getting ready to
clear-cut the old-growth forest next to Livvy's house for a new
luxury development, and some forest beings and their city-slicker
allies seem to think Livvy can do something about it. She's
heart-broken about her beloved forest, but her dad is working for
the corporation! Should she be loyal to the forest, or to her dad?
Rehearsals: Jul 10 - 14, Jul 24 - Aug 10, every Mon - Thurs, 3:00 -
6:00 pmTech rehearsals: Aug 14 - 16, 3:00 - 7:00 pmDress rehearsal:
Thurs Aug 17, 6:00 - 9:00 pm Performances: Aug 18, 19, 26 at 7:00
pm and Aug 27 at 2:00 pm (actors arrive at 6:00 pm) All a uditions,
rehearsals, and performances will be held at the Maple Valley
Creative Arts Council Center. Location of AuditionMaple Valley
Creative Arts Council Center, 23220 Maple Valley Highway SE, Suite
15 Maple Valley, WA 98038Actors and Assistant Director must have
reliable transportation and be committed to all rehearsals and
performances. Because of the nature of indoor rehearsals and close
proximity of actors, all actors are required to be vaccinated
against COVID-19. We suggest masking during rehearsals and when
offstage during performances. We encourage BIPOC & LGBTQA+ actors
to audition.Audition requirementsYOUTH ACTORS: Perform a one-minute
monologue of your choice. You may also be asked to read a side from
the script.ADULT ACTORS: Perform a monologue of your choice. You
may also be asked to read a side from the script.ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
(YOUTH): If you're interested in helping out in rehearsals and
backstage during the show, be prepared to chat with the director
during the audition. You do not have to perform a

Grandma ASSISTANT DIRECTOR ages 10 - 18, any gender, any race; This
is a non-actor role for a youth interested in working on a show
from behind-the scenes. You will assist the director and gain
firsthand knowledge of the rehearsal process. Possible duties
include: taking notes, brainstorming ideas with the director,
helping actors with costumes and props, and assisting backstage
