Practice Assistant (Legal Assistant):



LHH is seeking a Real Estate Practice Assistant to join a fantastic law firm in downtown Seattle, Washington! The ideal candidate will have transactional experience, and thorough knowledge and familiarity with common litigation procedures, terms and protocols.



The ability to be flexible and able to adapt to different work styles, take initiative and is able to anticipate attorney and client needs while working under a deadline is a must for this role.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include assisting assigned attorneys by performing clerical and administrative duties such as scheduling, preparing legal documents and correspondence, responding to inquiries on a variety of matters, managing telephone calls, and greeting visitors in a professional manner. Provides a high level of customer service and support while producing a high volume of consistently excellent work product. Maintains a general knowledge of the Firm\u2019s practice areas/groups and a specialized knowledge of the assigned attorneys\u2019 practice area(s) and clients in order to enhance and promote communication between attorneys and their clients.



SKILLS:


  • Demonstrates legal terminology and government regulations knowledge as well as knowledge of various court rules, deadlines, and requirements for submission of documents.
  • Thorough knowledge and familiarity with common transactional and litigation terms, procedures, and protocols (i.e. contracts, agreements, closing and corporate notebooks, title binders, motions practice, subpoenas, discovery documents, court rules, court filings, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively and accurately present information and respond to questions from attorneys, clients, and employees.
  • Excellent organization skills \u2013 setting priorities, initiative, advance planning, and flexibility.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service - Acts as a liaison between the attorneys and other departments of the firm. Collaborates and promotes team building.
  • Establish effective working relationships and appropriately interact with others and provides back up support as needed.




    EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor\u2019s degree and 3-5 years of experience in legal or professional services organization, or high school diploma and 5-7 years of experience in legal or professional services organization, or equivalent experience.
  • Recent experience with current e-filing and e-services procedures
  • Legal secretary or paralegal certificate is preferred.




    Salary: -$70,000-$85,000
