DesiLu's Pet Boutique is seeking experienced pet groomers for immediate hire. Both full time and part time positions are available. We are a busy shop known for excellent customer service. Grooming is by appointment, although we do allow for "walk-ins" when the schedule allows. We do not turn customers away if there is any reasonable way to accommodate their requests. The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate a strong work ethic, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to work with and support the other staff members. Starting compensation will depend on your experience and level of skill. We are pleased to note that our groomer's salaries are among the highest in the State, exceeding those offered by the nationwide pet companies. All tips are yours to keep. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, and health insurance through Regence Blue Shield commencing on the second month of employment. We are looking for someone with at least 1 year grooming experience, or with formal training; someone who can demonstrate the capacity to work with a wide variety of breeds, styles, and cuts; and someone who can demonstrate good scissor and finishing skills. We are looking for someone who carries themselves professionally; who is at ease dealing with clients, pets, and coworkers; who maintains a clean and orderly work area ( did you make your bed this morning?); who will not hesitate to assist their co-workers when necessary and without being asked; and who wants to work, and who is not afraid to work hard.
