Engineer (Mid-Level, Lead, Senior). This position will be based out
of Tukwila, Washington. We are Boeing Research & Technology
(BR&T): Boeing's global research and development team creating

future! Within BR&T, Boeing's Solid State Electronics
Development organization (SSED) performs microelectronics
technology development and design for aerospace systems. We develop
digital, analog, and RF Systems on Chip (SoCs) for radar,
navigation, electronic warfare, communications, processing, and
other electronic systems. These systems are used on Boeing
airborne, terrestrial, and satellite platforms. Designs are
implemented with state of the art semiconductor process
technologies including CMOS, GaAs, GaN, and SiGe. SSED uses
external wafer fabrication but performs design (architecture, RTL,
synthesis, circuits, physical design, verification, packaging and
test) in house. SSED has numerous microelectronics projects, funded
both by internal Boeing customers and external Government Science
and Technology (S&T) customers. SSED's large staff of
microelectronics engineers conduct research and designs
microelectronics hardware in support of these projects. Position
Responsibilities:
- Modeling of algorithms in Matlab
- Develop signal processing, image processing, network
processing, and data protection algorithms
- Simulate and optimize algorithms
- Troubleshoot algorithms implemented on a hardware platform
- Microarchitecture design and behavioral modeling (e.g. Matlab,
Arm Socrates)This position is hybrid. This means that the selected
candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of
the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's
discretion and could potentially change in the future. Note -
Current expectation is in office three days a week.This position
requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S.
Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been
active in the past 24 months is considered active)Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an
accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science,
mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience in Matlab or equivalent language (e.g. Python, C,
C++)
- Experience in engineering/mathematics/physics to solve complex
algorithm problemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years work experience or an equivalent combination of
education and experience
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent
combination of education and experience
- Knowledgeable in signal processing, image processing, network
processing, and data protection concepts
- Experience with systematic and iterative approach of algorithm
development to meet key performance requirements
- Strong analytical skills and able to work independently to
solve challenging problems
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication
skills
- Deep understanding and experience with industry Electronic
Design Automation (EDA) tools and methodologies for digital
ASIC/FPGA/SoC design and verification
- Experience working on large-scale microelectronics design
teams.
- Experience with development of microelectronics for hardware
security applications
- Experience supporting military radar, communications,
electronic warfare, or avionics/mission processor programs
- Demonstrated track record as a high performance team
member
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilityTypical

classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or

engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.Lead(Level 4)Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more
years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's
degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years'
experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or
Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation
standard.Senior (Level 5)Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more
years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's
degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more
years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor,
Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of
study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or
chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required,
accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $104,550.00 - $141,450.00 Summary pay
