Made in the USA, we are proud to offer a lifetime warranty on most products.Job DescriptionThe Rubber Machine Operator produces molded products or parts from pre-mixed standard rubber or plastic compounds. The Machine Operator observes continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary. Other key tasks include measuring and visually inspecting products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments; positioning and securing work pieces on machines, and start feeding mechanisms; and turning valves and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates, and to set cycle times. The Machine Operator removes finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment; trims excess material from parts, using knives, and grind scrap plastic into powder for reuse; and cools products after processing to prevent distortion.SchedulesDay Shift: 7:00AM - 3:30PM, Mon-FriSwing Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, Mon-FriNight Shift: 11:00PM - 7:30AM, Sun-ThursResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Setting quality standards, ensuring standards are met, training and communicating policies and procedures, auditing and analyzing processes, measuring production, reporting results.Develops and maintains strong working relationships by working closely with employees, supervisors and other departments.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimarily operates a rubber injection machineOperates pinning press in an efficient manner to press stainless steel pins into post of part.Painting adhesive primer to post of parts efficiently avoiding spills and transfer of primer on other area besides the post of part.Maintains safe/clean work environment by following cleanliness and safety standards, complying with regulations.CompetenciesLeadership Contributes to team and leads others by example.Analytical Synthesizes and analyzes complex or diverse information; Collects, researches data.Problem Solving Identifies, resolves problems in timely manner; Promotes process improvement.Interpersonal Focuses on solving conflict; maintains confidentiality; emotions under control.Oral Communication Speaks clearly and persuasively; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; reports research results.Team Work Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives/welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team.Written Communication Writes/documents clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read/interpret data.Quality Management Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and safety; able to manage processes; familiar with manufacturing methods and procedures.Attendance/Punctuality Is consistently at work and on time.Innovation - Develops innovative approaches and ideas; meets challenges with resourcefulness.Professionalism Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of status or position.Education/ExperienceHigh School diploma required; college or trade schooling preferred.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWarehouse environment.
