Job Description:
*Essential Functions** Performs direct patient care, utilizing
established policies, procedures and standards.* Administers
contrast and IV's according to policy and procedure.* Accurately
executes provider orders according to policies and procedures.*
Performs indirect patient care, utilizing established procedures,
policies, and standards.* Communicates pertinent information to the
appropriate persons in a timely manner.* Performs accurate and
timely documentation according to SVH guidelines.* Adhere to ASRT,
ARMRIT and ARRT standards of practice.* Able to work independently
and unsupervised and be available for regular emergency standby
coverage off-hours and on weekends.* Availability to work at
multiple locations.* Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment
for patients and staff according to policies and procedures.*
Ensures that supplies and equipment necessary for patient care are
stored in an organized and efficient manner.* Demonstrates correct
and safe techniques in the use of equipment according to specific
product information.* Follows appropriate procedures for obtaining
and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies.*
Participates in economical utilization of supplies and ensures that
equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner.* Adheres to
Diagnostic Imaging policies. Does not incur excessive overtime.*
Complies with specific SVH policies and procedures concerning
safety.* Assists patients, family members or other clients with
concern and empathy; respects their confidentiality and privacy and
communicates with them in a courteous and respectful manner.*
Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure
accurate and timely communications are facilitated.* Identifies
him/herself in a pleasant and positive manner. T* akes
responsibility for helping the caller and/or visitor.* Assists in
the orientation/training of new Team Members.* Consistently works
in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow Team Members.*
Assists other Team Members in the performance of their
assignments.*Education** High School diploma or GED required.*
Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technology or MRI
Technology training program.* Skagit Valley Hospital is a DNV
certified Primary Stroke Center. Required to complete 1 hour of
stroke education annually.*Experience/Training*Minimum one (1) year
prior experience preferred.*License/Certifications** Current ARRT
(American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American
Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) required.*
ARRT candidates are preferred to have Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MR) Certification.* ARRT candidates are required to attain MR
certification within 1 year of hire and maintain a current
Washington State Radiologic Technologist license.* Current American
Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS required.Skagit
