Job Description:

Boeing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Electrician with significant experience maintaining industrial infrastructure to join our team supporting the Puget Sound region. \nPosition Responsibilities: \nOperate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and/or plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room remodels), as required. \nDetermine if system should be shut down or if work must be performed with power source on. \nLock out, tag out, try out equipment and related systems, as required. \nPerform primary and secondary test on electrical breakers during routine maintenance. \nReplace, update and retro fit breakers, as required. \nPerform routine tests on high voltage switches and relays, using hipotential test equipment (Hipot), replace switch or relay, as required. \nTroubleshoot electric motors using appropriate test equipment. \nMonitor current, voltage, amperage, frequency and watts hours at sub-stations using on line computing system. \nCheck and service electrical systems, using infrared analysis sheets to locate hot spots in service panel, as required. \nService and maintain electrical systems on various types of overhead cranes. \nOperate, install electrical systems and perform functional test of building and/or plant equipment (e.g., machines, motor controls, room remodels), as required. \nInstall and perform routine maintenance on all types of lighting fixtures (e.g., fluorescent, halide, standard) clean and check sockets, replace ballast and bulb, as required. \nRun high voltage electrical cable from substation to unit station, cut and splice cable, test cable for resistance using a Hipot. \nInstall, replace and repair fiber optic cable for computers and computing systems, as required. \nBend conduit and install junction boxes, as required. \nPull wire of various gauge and color through conduit using a fish tape, install and connect switches and outlets. \nCheck work after completion or after each operation; ensure job is per drawing and WAC, NEC codes. \nEvaluate job for work to be performed (e.g., wire size, electrical load, conduit), as required. \nOperate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g. tiger lift, spider lift, snorkel lift), to access area to be worked on, as required. \nInstall wire, crimp, terminate, and solder using tools (e.g., crimpers, wire cutters, soldering gun) in plant electrical systems. \nEstablish/verify voltage, amperage, frequency and watts using test equipment (e.g., circuit trackers, sonic circuit chasers, volt, amperage meters), as required. \nThe position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. \nBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): \nAt least 3 years of experience as an Electrician or apprentice \nElectrician license (EL01 & /or EL 07) or an apprentice training card \nAt least 1 year of experience maintaining industrial equipment \nThis position requires an individual when working at heights to utilize fall protection equipment that has weight limitations and must be able to pass fall protection training. \nPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \nWorking knowledge of VFD's \nWorking knowledge of PLC's \nRelocation: \nThis position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. \nShift: \nVariable \nDrug Free Workplace: \nBoeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies. \nOther Relevant Information and Requirements: \nResumes of current Puget Sound Boeing employees submitted via Careers at Boeing will be considered as this job is not installed in QTTP. \nThis is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM-751) Collective Bargaining agreement.
