About This Team

The Commerce Experience team creates seamless guest experiences focused on e-commerce transactions and guest accounts. The work that you will do will be impactful and highly visible as our Digital team continues to grow and we move to our next generation of commerce microservices. You'll have the opportunity to set direction for all web engineers in the Commerce & Transactions space, and partner with the Micro Web App Platform team to implement technologies like module federation into the commerce web application.

A Day In The Life

In this role you will collaborate with Product Management, Domain Architects and Lead Engineer to bring projects from concept to implementation. Your solutions will be aligned with Digital Architecture strategy and consider business needs, timeline, and quality. You'll also share exciting new technologies with the team, and partner with engineering leadership on technical roadmaps.
Serves as primary technical solution design architect for one or more teams and their systems and integrations
Serves as primary decision escalation resource for addressing architecture and integration issues affecting their team
Continuously drive improvements in areas like performance, security, automation, quality, monitoring, and reliability of platforms
Develops and maintains current and future-state architecture models and ensures all documentation is kept up to date
Keeps up with industry best practices, technologies, architectures, trends, emerging technologies and develop proof of concept projects to validate new ideas

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling and maintaining software applications. A good portion of this experience should come from developing software solutions in and around cloud-based services and/or service-oriented architectures
5+ years experience with Javascript and NodeJS applications deployed to a cloud environment including experience with AWS Lambdas, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
1+ years experience in Next.js, GraphQL, and/or micro frontends
Experience integrating web frontends with complex multi-tier applications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
