Our growing Digital Strategy practice is looking for a Senior Content Analyst to join the team. This is not a copywriting or content manager position. Our Senior Content Analysts support the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies through their expertise in content strategy. The ideal candidate possesses several innate skills: you're analytical and a strong critical thinker, a compelling storyteller, and a detail-oriented self-starter with a bias for action.

Wheelhouse DMG is headquartered in Seattle, but the right candidate can live anywhere in the U.S.

What You'll Do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct gap analyses and competitive research to identify growth opportunities for clients across a diverse range of industries
  • Analyze/audit existing content, and qualitatively assess what you find
  • Develop content roadmaps and content briefs that synthesize competitive landscape, business value, and SEO best practices
  • Support digital strategy development and implementation through advanced analysis of client performance and opportunities
  • Collaborate with designers to support webpage/website/landing page design
  • Effectively and persuasively present content strategy recommendations to internal teams and clients

    Additional Responsibilities
    • Push the limits of how content strategy can drive value for clients
    • Evaluate existing content practices and deliverables and recommend ways to increase effectiveness
    • Create and document content workflows and processes
    • Develop and update internal training plans and other training assets in accordance with emerging trends and developments in the Content space
    • Establish and maintain relationships with clients to better understand and support their business goals

      What You Need to Succeed
      • 3+ years of experience in a content strategy or similar role
      • A demonstrated track record of business impact through content
      • Ability to set priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
      • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously while remaining flexible and consistently meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Creative problem-solving skills and a growth mindset approach
      • Strong verbal, visual and written communication skills
      • Understanding of current best practices and guiding principles of SEO
      • Experience working with Google Analytics, including advanced functions such as segmentation, filtering, synthesizing GA data with other data sources, etc.
      • Experience with a variant of Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, HubSpot, etc.)
      • Preferred, but not required: foundational understanding of frontend web design, including HTML and CSS
