**Crane Aerospace & Electronics** is seeking a **Production**
**Assembler I - 1st Shift** to join our high performing Proximity
Sensing Assembly Team in **Lynnwood, WA** **.**
+ Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts
and assembly sequences of units; may also work from sketches and
+ Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to
assemblies using hand or power tools, such as soldering irons,
solder suckers, wire strippers, high voltage soldering irons,
resistance (module) welders, bench spot welders, nut drivers,
torque wrenches, drill presses, sanders, and microscope.
+ Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units
meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order
+ Mark identifying information on parts.
+ Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring
instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges and scales.
+ Clean parts using iridite touch-up, solvents, degreasers,
abrasives and other cleaning agents.
+ Set up and utilize properly all applicable jigs, fixtures, aids;
adapt tooling to new uses or work without tooling as necessary to
complete work assignment.
+ Remove and replace encapsulations and bonding, as applicable.
+ Coordinate with engineering relative to prototype or repair
problems, as authorized.
+ May be assigned to set up equipment, interpret specifications,
train and check accuracy of work of designated employees of lower
+ 3+ years' experience in assembly
+ Fine soldering certification or equivalent experience
+ Crimping background
+ Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality
control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective
manufacture and distribution of goods;
_Skills_ / _Abilities_ :
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong
command of the English language are required to work well with
peers and management.
+ Reading comprehension: Ability to thoroughly interpret production
or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly
aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams.
+ Must be flexible to work effectively in a rapidly changing
+ Sound judgment and decision making skills.
+ Desire to grow and learn in order to be cross-trained in
different areas of our manufacturing environment.
+ Meet 2-8 minute takt time requirements in a high volume
+ Near vision (see details at a close range)
+ Arm-hand steadiness
+ Finger dexterity (ability to make precisely coordinated movements
of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or
assemble very small objects)
+ Manual dexterity (ability to quickly move your hand, your hand
together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or

+ This position requires access to controlled data or information
and therefore only US persons will be considered. As a US

+ Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include
but not limited to safety glasses, heel straps, and shop coats

+ Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
+ Adjustments in schedule may be required to accommodate part
shipments, including possible weekend shifts
