Job Summary
The Senior Solution Consultant works with sales reps and architects to qualify prospective enterprise clients for Stratascale products and services. In this exciting role, you will become an expert explaining the advantages of Stratascale solutions across Cloud, Automation, and Digital. You will dive deep into enterprise customer use cases, customer pain points, and business objectives. You will maintain a strategic vision for your customers while getting them excited about Stratascale solutions.
This role sits at the intersection between field sales, product management, and service delivery. The right candidate will be someone who understands the role that each of these personas play in an enterprise pre-sales engagement. She/he has worked as a Solutions Architect, Consultant, or similar role supporting sales of professional services. Those with a combination of technical skills, pre-sales solutioning, and services scoping will be best equipped for success.
This position will be reporting to our Managing Director - Cloud & Modernization and will be a remote position, however, may be required to report into a SHI Office Location as required for business needs as determined by Stratascale management.

Include but not limited to:

  • Lead technical discussions with customers regarding public/multi/hybrid cloud, devops/infrastructure as code, and/or application modernization/development solutions, and provide expertise during the sales cycle
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to create work plans and services scopes for a cohesive sales cycle with the clients and field sales teams
  • The ability to communicate (written & verbal) complex technical scenarios and situations to a variety of technical & non-technical audiences
  • Maintain knowledge of current and future cloud, automation, and/or digital technologies through engagement with industry trade groups, technical publications, and interpersonal relationships
  • Develop professional services and/or product IP offerings in areas of expertise
  • Provide education and guidance to the sales teams on offerings, capabilities, positioning, and partnerships
  • Conduct presentations for clients, sales teams, management, and other departments to drive Stratascale brand
  • Identify and develop relationships with key technology partners that will drive Stratascale offerings
  • Participate and engage with Request for Proposal (RFP) responses
  • Create, submit, and review Statements of Work (SOW) for professional services


    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
    • 7+ years of Consultant or Solutions Architect experience
    • 2+ years of pre-sales experience positioning professional services
    • Demonstrated technical leadership in multi-cloud architectures, Hashicorp, GitLab, and/or Kubernetes

      • Ability to lead technical discussions with customers and presentations
      • Ability to collaborative with other internal departments and sales teams
      • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

      • Ability to adapt to changing technology environment
      • Ability to understand customers' environments and recommend appropriate technology

        Certifications Required
        If one of the mandatory certifications is not currently held the successful candidate will be required to obtain at least one within 90 days of commencing the role:

        • Hashicorp Associate in one or more Hashicorp products
        • Gitlab Certified Associate
        • Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA)


          • CHIP (Certified Hashicorp Implementation Professional) in one or more Hashicorp products
          • GitLab Certified DevOps Professional
          • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

            Unique Requirements

            • Position requires travel to attend conferences & visit customer sites (25%)
