Description:JOB TITLE: Net Production Tech-Entry Level DEPARTMENT: Net LoftREPORTS TO: Net Loft Supervisor FSLA STATUS: Non-ExemptPosition Summary: PNP is looking for a reliable, hardworking craftsperson to assist in the manufacturing of netting products. PNP's netting products are used in a variety of applications including, but not limited to fish barrier and guidance, security, game bird management, sports, and recreation. Our ideal candidate is initiative-taking, has a positive attitude, and be able to work independently or with a team. PNP will provide on the job training. PNP will also provide an opportunity to obtain industry standard certifications for select candidatesEssential Duties:Various net fabrication tasks including cutting, lacing, web stretching, knot tying, etc., using a variety of materials such as pre-woven netting, rope, twine, floats, and hardwareUtilizing a variety of hand tools, net needles and fids, scissors, knives, and other cutting toolsFabricate and assemble products per directions, drawings, and customer specificationsFollows quality control procedures to ensure fabricated products meet required standardsLocate and pull required materials from inventory, maintains accurate records of materials usedAssists with organizing materials and tools and preparing tools and materials for upcoming projectsBundle and package nets, rope or other materials for storage and shippingLoad and unload raw materials and finished productsMaintain clean work area and equipment; and always follow Health Safety and Environmental proceduresPerform duties and responsibilities in accordance with Pacific Netting Products company policies and proceduresPerforms other related duties as assignedRequirements:Required QualificationsAverage or better eye/hand coordinationAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsWorking knowledge of tools used in cutting and measuringAbility to read and interpret safety rules and operation, maintenance and procedures manualsAbility to stand or sit for long periods of timePreferred Qualifications and CompetenciesPrior fabrication experience a plusHigh School diploma or GED preferredDependable and reliable: Shows up every day on time, completes work in timely mannerAvailable: Willing to work extended hours and overtime as needed to complete the workResponsible: Takes responsibility for own actions, keeps commitments, and completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate planSafety and Security Aware: Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, uses equipment and materials properlyEfficient and Organized: Prioritizes and plans work activities to meet deadlines, uses time efficientlyEmbraces Teamwork & Professionalism: Balances team and individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit, supports everyone's efforts to succeed, treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or positionStrives for both Quality and Quantity in work product: Works efficiently and with accuracy, looks for ways to improve and promote the effectiveness of fabrication operations, audits own work to ensure quality and accuracy, demonstrates attention to detail, strives to increase productivityPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
