Job Description:
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the
ongoing procurement of raw materials and recycling of process
waters, including supplier/customer onboarding and ongoing
compliance adherence, negotiating, and optimizing freight logistics
and system wide inventory optimization, reporting and management.

- Conduct business in a manner that is aligned with the company's
mission and core values of Sequentially.
- Coordinate timely inbound and outbound shipments of UCO and
process waters from customers and suppliers to and from the SQES
facility network across the Western United States.
- Negotiate the purchases and undertake ongoing procurement and
logistics of used cooking oil and waste water disposal rates,
considering delivery specifications, identifying, and vetting
prospective suppliers, product qualities, securing competitive bids
and negotiating purchases (price and terms).
- Develop and implement processes for driving continuous
improvements/ innovations with suppliers of critical items and for
evaluating supplier performance.
- Utilize state-of-the-art replenishment tools and techniques to
ensure adequate safety stocks (i.e. no out of stocks of critical
items), leverages volume purchases to minimize unit freight costs
and discounts as well as minimize inventory on hand.
- Collaborate with Sales and Facility Operations to forecast and
inform purchases and shipments of used cooking oil (UCO) and waste
water recycling.
- Become an "ERP Super User" for inventory management to monitor
internal supplies of UCO and waste water across the company
including trucking depots, and other, terminals, and storage
sites.
- Manage Supplier onboarding process and ongoing document
requirements, including but not limited to KYC, Sustainability
Surveys, and monthly Separated Food Waste Compliance.
- Identify potential risks to supplies and develop contingency
plans (e.g., alternate suppliers).
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on
procurement costs.
- Prepare and submit an annual procurement budget, manage
effectively within the budget, and report accurately on progress
made and challenges encountered.
- Track and report key functional metrics (e.g. key price
indices), status of supplier development, contingency plans for
critical supplies and supplier negotiations.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Project management.
- Working knowledge of inventory management, replenishment and
supply chain management processes and systems.
- Decision making.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position is
responsible for the practical oversight of all procurement
functions. Depending on scale the position may oversee one to four
employees.Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of progressive procurement and
purchasing experience preferably in the fuel, chemical or fluid
products industry.
- Experienced negotiator and networker
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year
- Supply chain: 1 year
- Working knowledge of cash and futures markets (e.g., yellow
grease, #2 heating oil and chemicals)
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.Preferred
Education and Experience
- Knowledge of myriad supplier or third-party management
software.The Supply Chain Manager's office location TBC. Periodic
travel to SQES facilities and customer / supplier locations is
likely.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $90,000.00 - $101,500.00 per
year
