Farmers Equipment Company is a full-service agricultural, material handling and construction equipment dealer with locations in both Lynden and Burlington. We currently have an opening for a Material Handling Service Technician I to work out of our Burlington Store serving customers at their locations throughout Whatcom County. Primary responsibilities: - Service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on material handling equipment to OEM specifications at customer locations - Represent FEC in a professional manner while serving internal and external customers - Accurately detail repairs done on Work Orders - Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment, research parts and repairs needed to successfully resolve issues leading to a positive outcome - Ability to meet Standard Repair Times for assigned work - Meet company goal for Collectable Efficiency

Requirements: - Strong mechanical aptitude and detail orientation - Minimum three years directly applicable experience preferred - Competency in computer-based troubleshooting - Ability to perform work in a safe and professional manner, both autonomously and as part of a team - Outstanding customer service skills - Excellent organizational and communication skills - Clear driving record with valid Driver's License - Proven dependability and good housekeeping skillsWage $25-29 per hour.
