Description MRP is searching for an agile Production Planner who considers themselves problem-solvers and excited by challenges and the opportunity to build something great with us. The Production Planner shall be responsible for the creation and generation of manufacturing work orders and job packets, derived from specifications provided by Sales, Project Coordinators, and Production. In this capacity, the individual will serve as a pivotal resource to both internal and external stakeholders, offering guidance and ensuring the accuracy of all work orders. Furthermore, they shall contribute to the department's growth and efficiency by providing leadership, strategic insight, and proactive problem-solving to enhance process optimization.What's in it for YOU?

  • $34.62 - $38.46/hourWhat will you do in this role?Collaborate with Salespersons and Project Coordinators to compile and synthesize comprehensive work order specifications and instructions for production. Scrutinize sales order forms, purchase orders, artwork, and sales estimates for precision, resolving any identified discrepancies.
    • Construct master estimates, production estimates, and operational tools within the ERP system, ensuring precise production specifications, routings, and messaging.
    • Utilize Artios CAD software to design manufacturing layouts, ensuring alignment with production standards.
    • Spearhead pre-production meetings with supervisory teams, meticulously reviewing artwork, specifications, layouts, and routings for innovative structures and designs, incorporating necessary modifications as per feedback.
    • Modify and update existing work orders, disseminating changes to Sales, Project Coordinators, Scheduling, and Production as needed.
    • Source and issue purchase orders for outsourced components and production steps, communicating relevant specifications and directives to vendors.
    • Maintain impeccable records of all work orders, ensuring the continuous updating of items, tools, and estimates in the ERP system.
    • Provide consistent support to Sales Estimating in the preparation of estimates and cost evaluations.
    • Complete the Planner Training & Incentive Program (PTI) within a structured timeframe of 24-27 months post-hire and serve as a support resource for trainees in lower levels of the program when the designated Mentor is unavailable.
    • Assume the role of Mentor in the PTI program upon successful completion of all program levels.
    • Continuously engage in the evaluation of internal systems and processes, identifying strategic opportunities for improvements that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
    • Accompany Sales Representatives during customer engagements as requested, providing subject matter expertise. Qualifications What does it take to be successful in this role?Basic Requirements
      • Understanding of how production processes operate, including material flow, production timelines and capacity planning.
      • Ability to create, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource availability.
      • Ability to work with internal customers to ensure alignment of production goals.
      • Skills to quickly identify and solve production issues that may affect timelines or output.
      • Adaptability to changing production demands, supply issues, or unforeseen delays.
      • Ensure production schedules and forecasts are accurate to minimize errors and inefficiencies.
      • Awareness of quality standards and ensuring they are maintained in production.
