Senior Stop Loss Sales Executive

As the Sales Executive - Stop Loss, you will partner with the Stop Loss Underwriting department to drive new stop loss sales and renewal activities to meet department objectives. You will sell and renew business at rates and terms that meet corporate financial objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
* Review new business applications and related underwriting data to develop quotes and responses to requests for information.
* Ensures that the risks are appropriate and consistent with the underwriting guidelines and policies. Manages relationships with brokers/agents and business leaders/decision makers to drive sales results.
* Monitors business and industry trends, conditions and customer developments to incorporate changing market conditions into sales strategy. Knowledge of claims data processing, medical management initiatives and wellness strategies.
* Maintains detailed knowledge of benefit plan design alternatives, funding options and underwriting requirements.
* Works directly with brokers and clients to answer questions and/or resolve issues regarding Stop Loss Underwriting.

* Ability to organize and prioritize activities to meet established deadlines and commitments.
* Strong relationship management skills and the ability to develop and execute an effective sales strategy.
* Ability to apply analytical techniques and provide analysis and recommendations using critical thinking and sound judgment.
* Demonstrated focus on achieving and surpassing sales goals and objectives. Displays an enthusiastic and self-directed approach to work. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, maintaining a positive professional interaction with both internal and external customers.
* Ability to establish and maintain prospect lists and sales pipeline.
* Working knowledge of all aspects of all stop loss products, e.g., specific, aggregate, aggregating specific, etc. (REQUIRED for consideration)
Sales Executive Stop Loss would have a Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, math, statistics or related discipline and 5 7 years of experience in Stop Loss sales, underwriting or related field or equivalent combination of education or experience.
Required Licenses, Certifications, Registration, Etc.
Must be currently licensed, or must become licensed within 90 days of hire, to sell insurance (health, life, and /or disability) in the 4 states where business is conducted. Prior to receiving a license staff are not allowed to engage in soliciting or selling activities.
