As a Valant Sales Engineer, you will be a product and technical subject matter expert for the Sales team, supporting the sales efforts for the new Valant EHR Platform. You will provide pre-sales technical expertise, demonstrations and product education to prospective clients during the sales cycle.
What You'll Do

  • Provide product and technical support and expertise to Sales team and customers during the sales process
  • Prepare and deliver customized technical presentations to prospective customers remotely and in person
  • Setup, configure, and train the Sales team on monthly product releases
  • Become a Valant Platform product expert
  • Work in tandem with the sales team on presentations to ensure accuracy.
  • Analyze and interpret customer needs and requirements, and demonstrate how the Platform solution can provide value, and support their organizations needs
  • Answer client questions on product functionality, integration, and use cases as required
  • Provide prospective customer feedback to Product, Engineering, Marketing and other cross functional teams as needed
  • Research the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience to better understand how current customers are using the product
  • Assist with product marketing efforts by attending tradeshows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Provide clear and accurate responses for RFIs/RFPs and/or contribute technical solutions directly to proposals.

    What You'll Need

    Required Qualifications

    • Dynamic personality with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong technical skills and experience, excited to apply and master new technology (cloud computing, databases, reporting, etc.)
    • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and follow-through on projects to completion
    • Strong presenter and communicator with internal and external customers and partners
    • Excellent situational awareness - must be comfortable in dynamic customer environments and enthusiastically present our company
    • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary, typically about 25%-50%

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree preferred; or relevant technology experience.
      • SaaS (Software as a Service) experience
      • Understand behavioral health and the health and human services landscape
      • Healthcare or EHR background
      • Report writing experience (SQL, BI, etc.)
      • Medicaid or publicly funded healthcare experience
