Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Cath Lab Technologist

Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM with call Experience: Minimum of
2 years License: Yes Certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS Certification,
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Must-Have: -
Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery. - ICU or PACU
experience is a plus. - Prefer EPIC experience. - Experience in
Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP). Description: The Cath Lab has
2 suites used for various procedures, including both cardiac and
vascular cases. The lab performs an average of 22 cases per day,
including both catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
The required certifications for technologists include RCIS or RT or
RCES. Common diagnoses and types of patients include right and left
heart catheterizations with or without intervention, as well as
structural heart cases like TAVR and mitral clip. Knowledge of
intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella insertion is required.
Job duties include circulating, preparation, and recovery.
Experience with prep and recovery is preferred. All team members
must have procedural experience. RN candidates must have cardiac
procedural experience, including the ability to circulate, sedate,
monitor, and document. Technologists must have experience in
scrubbing and monitoring during procedures. The team will often
work past the normal end time to complete all cases, and teamwork
is emphasized. Technologists may also be required to float to the
EP lab as needed. The lab utilizes EPIC, MacLab, and GE Imaging
equipment for documentation and imaging. On-call requirements
include 8-10 days of call within a 6-week period. Charge nurse and
lead technologist positions are available, depending on staffing.
Candidates should have experience with EPIC and GE imaging
