Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician – Night Shift (Travel Assignment) Location : Everett, WA Job Type : Travel Contract Duration : 13 Weeks Start Date : August 4, 2025 Shift : Nights, 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM) Schedule : Rotating weekends required Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a night shift travel opportunity in a high-volume surgical services department. This role involves performing decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure the safety and efficiency of surgical operations. You’ll join a high-performing team focused on quality and collaboration in a teaching hospital environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment Handle specialty equipment including Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, GYN, and General Surgery Assemble case carts, trays, and instrumentation for surgical procedures Operate and monitor sterilization equipment including Steam, Sterrad, Steris, and IUSS Ensure compliance with infection control policies and standard aseptic techniques Use biological and chemical indicators to validate sterilization processes Document and track equipment using SPM (Sterile Processing Microsystem) Process and reprocess flexible endoscopes, bronchoscopes, cystoscopes, and other specialty scopes Participate in orientation and ongoing training modules Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to departmental protocols Support a high case and tray volume (average 65 surgical cases/day and 1200 trays/day)
